Born in Chicago, Illinois from Greek immigrant parents in 1939, Connie now tells the story of her family moving to this country to face and survive the Great Depression. A trip to Greece (the Old Country) in 1984 brought Connie a bag full of letters written by her mother to family back home detailing life in America for her Greek-American family.
