Organization Details
The first large group of Hellenes came to America in 1768 and settled at New Smyrna, Florida and included people from Crete, Greece. In the 1910's and 1920's Cretan fraternities were organized all over America and in the 1929 them came together to form what is today called the Pancretan Association of America.
Programs include scholarships, financial support to hospitals, orphanages, churches, and schools, promoting Hellenic culture, thought, language, and traditions through music, dance, and concerts. Each year, a national convention is held somewhere in American.
