/home/calendar/feastdays/

Feast Day: December 25

The Feast of the Nativity of Jesus Chris (Christmas,) also known as the "Incarnation of Christ," is one of the Great Feasts of the Greek Orthodox Church, and is one of the most joyful days of the Orthodox Church, second only to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The icon depicts various scenes of Christ's birth including him wrapped swaddling clothes lying in the manger, the three Wise Men, Joseph and Mary, an angel, barnyard animals, and a shepherd boy.
